Nomophobia: Short for no-mobile-phone phobia, this is the constant fear of not having service and according to researchers in the UK a whopping 50% of people have it.
Heliophobia: In a sort of modern day vampirism, heliophobia is actually defined as fear of the sun.
Haphephobia: it’s the fear of being touched.
Oikophobia: Being scared of your household appliances
Neophobia: A fear of new things
Chronophobia: The fear of time passing.
Phagophobia: A fear of swallowing
Xanthophobia: fear of the colour yellow, sufferers may fear anything yellow, including the sun, daffodils and yellow paint.
Turophobia: Sufferers usually associate cheese with a traumatic memory. From cheddar to mozzarella turophobes often have to run away if they so much as see a slice of cheese.
